About

Mostly self-indulgent, incoherent, rambling… Makes even less sense in person…

Kia ora About page viewers!

I have a degree in politics (miraculously) and currently work as a librarian across Auckland. I’m not sure what I want to do as a career, but have kept this blog up on the side for a few years now throughout study and crappy hospitality jobs alike.

In the past I’ve used this platform to document the on-and-off writing I’ve had published in my student magazine – mostly things like reviews and feature articles.

This blog has also been a reflective space where I’ve been able to work through some more personal relationship and mental health related issues in prose form. I’m not sure why, but there’s something incredibly freeing and head-clearing about just releasing all your crap into the interweb! A lot of it may be cringey, but if even one line resonates with someone going through something similar, it makes me so happy.

I’ve recently purchased a one-way ticket to the UK for the classic kiwi working holiday so watch this space to see who this site will develop in the next few months… will be using this site in a reflective, head-clearing kind of way.

It has the potential to turn into a vegan food review/travel blog also… you’ve been warned.

I’d love to get more involved in the blogging community, so please do comment on my posts/message me if anything strikes your interest .

Ngā mihi,

Georgia
